  4. Are you prepared to work hard? Some people become freelancers thinking that freelancing is easy. However nothing is easy and you need to put in hard work to be successful. You will need to love your work and be passionate about what you do. If you don’t deliver quality work and on time in the long run you will start to loose clients.

  5. Are you prepared to constantly improve your skills and knowledge? Being your own boss means you will always need to improve your skills knowledge to stay competitive. If you constantly improve you will be able to work faster and also be able to work on more complicated and higher paying freelance jobs.

  6. Are you prepared to deal with difficult clients? When you are working on freelance jobs some clients can be more demanding. You will sometimes have to accept that you will need to do same job many times all over gain and make many changes before the client is satisfied.

  7. Can you deal with setbacks? Being a freelancer is not easy and you will probably have to deal with setbacks, especially at the beginning. If you give up easily than freelancing is probably not the best option for you.
